RALLY DAY - August 24th

Make plans to join us on August 24th for
Rally Day at Mt. Zion!  We will begin at
8:30am with a pancake breakfast followed
by an overview of the Sunday School
classes we have to offer.  Our adult
classes will meet at their usual time.  Our
children will be given the opportunity to
decorate a worship bag that we will begin
to use each Sunday!  These worship bags
will contain activities to keep the children
occupied during our worship service.
EVERYONE is invited to Rally Day - Adults
and Children.

We will also be having our annual Book
Bag Blessing in our worship service on
August 24th.  All Students are encouraged
to bring their book bags.  If you have any
questions, see Elaine Lail, Gay Apple,
Holly Lail, Addison KIutz or Cynthia Keller.
God's Work.  Our Hands.
Sunday, September 7th

There are 10,000 congregations in the
ELCA.  On Sunday, September 7,
thousands of those congregations will
be reaching out to serve others in
God's name.  Here at Mt. Zion, some
people will be walking across the street
to work at Sipe's Orchard Home,
renewing a relationship that dates
back many, many years.  Others will
assemble in the Fellowship Hall to
make school kits and personal health
kits that will bless others around the
world.  Some 58 people will be wearing
the yellow t-shit "God's Work. Our
Hands."  It is now too late to order a
t-shirt, but it is not too late to be a part
of that Sunday of Service.  Come and
join the blessing of God's Work. Our
Hands. Sunday, September 7th.
